Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives. Manages the activities of the Manufacturing Team and is responsible for staffing decisions, training and development and performance management of the staff. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Selects, develops and evaluates manufacturing personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the departments(s). Evaluates all manufacturing processes with the goal of continuously improving process capability, equipment utilization, and product quality. Works daily with manufacturing and personnel to develop/document standard work methods in support of the efficient utilization of space, equipment, material and product flow. Approximates production times and staffing requirements in order to create bill of material structures/labor routines that ensure the accurate development of standard cost data.

Additional Objectives:

 Leads manufacturing management team in the weekly review of performance and setting of strategy to achieve production and revenue targets.
 Through internal interface and coordination with operations, engineering, program management.
 Provide support and direction in helping the company achieve its asset management objectives.
 Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives.
 Reviews analyses of activities, costs and forecast data to determine manufacturing progress toward stated goals and objectives.


Requirements:

 10-15 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment
 Previous experience in EMS manufacturing management, program management is a plus
 Experience in a Customer contract role
 Works as a Team player bringing both the customer input as well as representing Sanmina-SCI manufacturing facilities
 Possess the business savvy necessary to drive both Sanmina-SCI manufacturing and the Customer to improve in areas needed
 Experience in building teams, implementing robust and scaleable processes
 BA or equivalent related work experience
