Our Seattle office currently has a career opportunity available for an experienced Industrial Project Manager / Estimator for project pursuits throughout the Pacific Northwest. This is a ground floor opportunity to help set the course for our expanding industrial operations in the US. The ideal candidate has experience in managing and estimating projects involving structural concrete, structural steel erection, equipment setting, heavy rigging and process piping in operating process/manufacturing plants, hydro and port facilities. Familiarity with marine operations is a plus.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Project Manager / Estimator is responsible for:

Ensuring the successful completion of assigned projects, their profitability, and retention of the owner as a continuing client of Graham.
Providing overall administrative and technical direction to projects, from bid/proposal preparation to final acceptance by client, ensuring that the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
Managing contractural aspects of projects to effectively minimize risk and exposure.
Monitoring/controlling construction progress through administrative direction of on-site project personnel and subcontractors.
Identifying required and optional changes in project scope; negotiating change orders with the owner.
Resolving and/or escalating disputes between the Company and owner, or Company and subcontractors in a timely fashion.
Ensuring Graham safety and quality standards are adhered to in all aspects of the project.

Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications:

Mechanical, Civil or Structural engineering degree or equivalent training and experience.
10 plus years experience in the construction industry specifically working on Industrial
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, materials,
negotiation, engineering, estimating, scheduling and safety).
Superior communication and interpersonal skills required (tact, diplomacy, influence). Must
be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee
performance and engagement.
